Interview
Why did you decide to start designing tees?
Cole: I started designing tees in high school. I started off working for this clothing company called INFRACTION based out of Jacksonville Beach, Florida in early 2000. The company pretty much went defunct because all the profits were spent on coke. After that I started doing freelance for bands and started my own clothing line called Byeline. I guess it just kind of stuck with me and I constantly pushed and changed my style till I found something I liked.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Cole: Inspiration is a funny thing. I wouldn’t say I ever have meaning behind my designs. I just kind of start doodling. Most of the time it sucks. Sometimes I get lucky and end up with something pretty decent. I’m usually drinking and smoking. Does that count as inspiration?
How quick of a designer are you?
Cole: Like sexual stamina? You wouldn’t be disappointed, man.
What is your favorite blog?
Cole: Eh I don’t really read blogs. Godmachine has a pretty sexy blog though.
Where do you buy your t-shirts?
Cole: I print shirts full time for printmytees.com so I rarely have to buy shirts. My closet is pretty full of designs off of emptees. If I ever buy a shirt its probably from designbyhumans.com
Favorite movie of all time?
Cole: Probably Milo and Otis. Or willow. Maybe waterworld. All classics.
