Why did you decide to start designing tees?
Gaunty:Gaunty. I studied sculpture at Uni and after finishing I kind of drifted away from it all and got heavily into travelling. After settling in Spain, about a year ago I decided I wanted to get back into my art background but I lived in a small flat so just got into digital art, I entered a few comps with bad designs then came across emptees and decided to learn how to use my computer properly.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Gaunty:A lot of my ideas come from play on words, idioms etc from my day job teaching English. I start with a concept, usually a phrase and Ideas just pop into my head. Guess I'm just lucky like that.
How quick of a designer are you?
Gaunty: I'm getting quicker. The ideas come thick and fast but I take a while to get them looking like they do in my head. Some just never get made because I just don't have the time.
What is your favorite blog?
Gaunty: I like reading the other emptees members blogs. I frequent Nick's (Heavyprints), Godmachine's, Wotto's, Horsebite's and Derek Deal's the most.
Where do you buy your t-shirts?
Gaunty: I'm usually pulled in by the artist more than any specific company and living in Spain, buying online is a must.
Favorite movie of all time?
Gaunty: The Goonies, Back to the Future and Stand by me
