How They Dress: Erik Kastner - Metaatem

What is this all about?

"How They Dress" is a fun little segment we will be doing here and there on PleaseDressMe. The basic concept is simple: we ask some friends what t-shirts they like, and they tell us! Today we're going to look into the fashion world of Erik Kastner. Learn about Erik, check out what shirts he likes, and comment below. Last note: if you would like to be featured on "How They Dress" please let us know.

Erik's Favorite Shirts

This one is special to me. It was given to my daughter Danika as a gift. It's a threadless shirt, and I have it already. The symmetry and color are awesome here, and it's just a cute picture.
This shirt makes me laugh every time I put it on. Also from threadless, this shirt works on a few levels. From a distance, it seems like some super Mech that's gonna kill the wholesome high school kid. As you look closer, you see it's a bunch of nerds that have been painstakingly drawn and includes some really cool detail (like the calculator as a toe!) who are teaming up to attack the bully (why didn't *WE* think of that?). The other great thing about this is it triggers my very slight dyslexia, and I think "Nerds UNTIE" every time.
A very DARK shirt from threadless, both in color and content. This shirt gets me comments every time I wear it, and that's just fine by me. Threadless has been printing this shirt for a long time, and if I remember correctly, it was the first one I ever ordered from them. One of the small details I enjoy is the printing difference between the person and the butterflies. I might have to get a print of this for my wall.
They're easy, get it? It's just syllables. You count them...They add up... Like any good joke, the funny here comes from the unexpected. Every time I wear this threadless shirt, SOMEONE stops me to read it slowly, usually twice, and one of two reactions follow: 1) They laugh knowingly and smile or 2) they say "I don't get it". Both reactions rule. A simple shirt who's power comes from the content, and not much of the presentation.
FINALLY, a non-threadless shirt. Oh, wait, no, it's threadless. This one is different tho -- I don't own it (yet... *hint*). The lion looks a lot like someone I work with. Yellow rules, as do HUGE graphics. A winner in my book!
