About Mel Kirk
Mel is a Social Media Consultant focussed on building communities and brand with integrity. She is currently working as Communities Manager for a 6 month period at Aardman Animations (yes that's right Wallace & Gromit).
Mel's most recent project has involved building and managing a community around www.4mations.tv from scratch as well as directing the online strategy for www.wallaceandgrommit.com and www.shaunthesheep.com.
Mel blogs about social media strategies and research as well as her infamous Random Thursday Videos, samples of which can be found here and here. Most recently Mel has been invited to numerous speaking engagements to talk about online communities, including the Web Developers Conference, BathCamp and proposed panels for SXSW 2009.
